Teen Reviews

More great reads from Elkhorn's teens!
  • Stephanie S. read Full House Stephanie, Winning is Everything and says: DJ just won a prize for being on the Dean's List and Stephanie is Jealous so she runs for the presidential election at school. She runs against her friend Allie, but Allie resigns and joins her as vice president. Stephanie only pulls stunts and doesn't talk about the issues but Allie does many times. Stephanie then does the right thing and turns the trophy and presidency over to Allie and resigns.
  • Stephanie S. also read The Secret of the Old Clock by Carolyn Keene and says: Nancy meets a poor family as she saves their child from a near fatal accident. In doing so she learned about a missing will. She meets another family as she escapes a storm. This family is two young girls who are in need of money for voice lessons. The Turnbull family is very rich and they are going to get the money from the will. The will is associated with an old clock and the clock is at a cottage so Nancy goes there and runs into a gang of thieves who stole the clock. When she gets free she chases them down, takes the clock and finds a book inside. In the book is the second will. This will distributes the money evenly and leaves the Turnbulls in debt.
  • Cassandra S. read Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale and says: I loved this book because Shannon Hale is a great storyteller - her writing really made the story come to life! The story was so great I couldn't put it down 'til I finished it.
  • Paige S. read Kathleen: The Celtic Knot by Siobhan Parkinson and says: I loved this book! Kathleen was not all she seemed because she was a poor girl in the tenements in Ireland but she won Gold in an Irish dancing competition.
